Basketball, kickball, tag, OH MY! These are just a few of the free activities we’re offering here at The House of the Carpenter. Kids of all ages are welcome to hang out in the gym.
Summertime is great for being outside and hanging out. And at the same time, IT IS HOT!
“Josh and I have so much fun having teens and kids from the neighborhood over to our gym. Everyone gets to cool off, and have a good time together.”
Mia Williams, Program Director
Open Gym is a unique blend of free play and structured games. And registration is NOT required. Simply show up and enjoy yourself.

Why are these free activities so important?

Open Gym is an important part of our mission as we continue to develop relationships with the kids in our neighborhood.
Ready to get involved?
Here’s how you can participate in Open Gym:
Teens: Come hang out with us! Play ball, or simply cool down with your friends.
Adults: Spread the word! Make sure the kids in your life know that our Youth Center is a safe spot to have fun.
The Toni and Nancy Bedway Center for Youth
We are immensely grateful to the Bedway family, and all our partners who are making this type of program possible. Without the Youth Center, we wouldn’t have the right kind of space available to offer Open Gym activities!
The financial and spiritual support of our community is outstanding. Learn more about the variety of programs we offer for youth in our neighborhood, and consider supporting our mission.
