Summer has gotten off to an exciting start as we’ve hosted a variety of transformational summer camps for kids. Each camp gives kids the tools they need to not only succeed in their daily lives, but also to thrive as they grow. Our goal is to equip them with knowledge and skills so they can feel empowered to take control of their future. These summer camps are truly life changing, and we’re so excited to share them with you!
Pathways to Success 2022
Our Pathways to Success program started in June! Teens from all throughout the Ohio Valley went through an application process and interview, and HOW MANY were selected to take part in this comprehensive camp. We’re in the middle of the program, and they’re already feeling more prepared for the job force. They’re learning vital life skills, including how to manage their finances and plan for their futures.
Teens have spent the month learning about:
- Post-high school career opportunities
- Job Readiness Skills
- Resume Building
- Job Shadowing
- Interview Preparation
- Budgeting Methods
Once they complete the program, not only will the kids have the skills they need to confidently look for work, but they will also receive $495 for their participation!

Summer STEM Camp
In partnership with WVU Extension, we were able to offer Summer STEM camp in June. This hands-on camp had kids exploring the wonderful world of science, technology, engineering, and math!

- Grades 4th-7th
Kids had a fantastic time meeting new friends and engaging their big brains. We hope the kids discovered a lifelong love of learning so they can ensure a bright future for themselves.

Cooking Classes for Kids
We love cooking! That’s why we host a variety of cooking classes for kids, teens, and adults throughout the year. Each class teaches skills to make nutritional food, which the participants take home to their families.
This past month we invited children aged 6-11 to have fun in the kitchen with our Cooking Classes for Kids. They learned how to prepare nutritional snacks and meals for themselves and their families. The kids met new friends and received healthy food ideas, tips, and tricks, having tons of laughs along the way!
