This summer, a select few Middle School and High School students have an incredible opportunity to get out of the classroom and explore career paths. Pathways to Success applications are due on May 19, 2021.
During this job readiness program, participants will be exposed to a variety of industries, and they’ll get paid for completing the program!
Yes, this is a paid opportunity for youth.
Mia Williams leads this transformative program. She says students will get to shadow professionals representing different career paths:
- Retail
- Technology
- Trades
- In-Office
They can find out what a “day in the life” looks like for different careers, and what they could do to pursue that career.
Planning for the Future
Some students may be planning on college; others want to enter the workforce right after high school. Regardless, Pathways to Success will help them figure out what steps will help them achieve their goals. During this 4-week program, they’ll get crucial information and impactful experiences which will set them up for growth.
Even if students don’t think they’re ready to think too far in the future, they should still apply! The program will help them gain skills they can use immediately.
- How to search for a job
- Writing a solid resume
- Interview tips and tricks
- Building experience for future opportunities
- Budgeting techniques
- Mental health skills
This program truly sets youth up for success.
